Aromatherapy

 

 

Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, leaves, stems, bark, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.


The inhaled aroma from these "essential" oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing.


As a form of alternative medicine, Aromatherapy is gaining momentum and is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function.


There are a wide number of essential oils available, each with its own healing properties. I am currently integrating various essential oil blends in my various modalities to enhance the overall massage and energy work experience.


Prior to your first session you will be asked to fill out a Health Intake Form that will include the indication of any allergies. In the event of any allergies I will adjust the use of Aromatherapy accordingly or completely omit it from the treatment.
